LC系列液體聚結(jié)器用來從汽油、煤油、柴油或其它液態(tài)烴類有機(jī)連續(xù)相中分離不相容的水、胺液、堿液等無機(jī)分散相液滴。

LC系列液體聚結(jié)器內(nèi)部裝有兩種專門針對烴類介質(zhì)脫水的濾芯——聚結(jié)濾芯和分離濾芯，當(dāng)介質(zhì)流經(jīng)其內(nèi)部需經(jīng)過過濾、聚結(jié)、沉降、分離四個過程，從而實(shí)現(xiàn)脫掉介質(zhì)中水分、堿液及溶于水的有機(jī)酸鹽等。

介質(zhì)首先從內(nèi)向外流經(jīng)聚結(jié)濾芯，該濾芯具有過濾、破乳、聚結(jié)三重功效，有良好的親水性。聚結(jié)濾芯最內(nèi)層的高精度過濾層，有效攔截介質(zhì)中的顆粒雜質(zhì)，尤其是攔截對穩(wěn)定乳化狀態(tài)起明顯作用的氧化鐵、硫化鐵等雜質(zhì)，有利于后續(xù)破乳及聚結(jié)功能。經(jīng)過過濾以后的介質(zhì)隨后進(jìn)入聚結(jié)濾芯的破乳聚結(jié)層。破乳聚結(jié)層中的特殊材料對介質(zhì)進(jìn)行破乳，然后將介質(zhì)中微小的游離水聚結(jié)出來，并在其表面凝結(jié)成大水珠。大水珠靠自身重力沉降到集水槽，尺寸較小的水珠會隨介質(zhì)一起流向分離濾芯。

       LC系列液體聚結(jié)器根據(jù)不同液體的粘度、表面張力、pH值等方面的不同，聚結(jié)元件的材料可以是玻璃纖維、聚丙烯、聚酯、尼龍、褶狀纖維素或復(fù)合材料。

LC系列液體聚結(jié)器根據(jù)結(jié)構(gòu)形式分為：VLC立式液體聚結(jié)器和HLC臥式液體聚結(jié)器。

一般用于航空煤油的聚結(jié)器，有其特殊的制造標(biāo)準(zhǔn)和行業(yè)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，通常又稱為過濾分離器。
